The Environmental Leadership Program teaches graduate students to communicate science and translate research beyond the university. Through the program's transformative and diverse opportunities for learning, graduate students become capable and inspired professionals prepared for a wide range of careers in solving the dynamic challenges of the world. Concurrently, graduate students increase the public understanding of science and its applications while assisting the University in meeting its land grant mission. Professional development is done through experiential approaches and guided practice in reflection, communication, leadership, collaboration, cultural awareness, mentoring, and co-learning with peers.
